Martin Shield heads west to Parramatta

Parramatta have cruised to a comfortable six wicket victory over Manly in the final of the Martin Shield competition and in doing so winning their twelfth Martin Shield.
Batting first Manly were in trouble at 7/53 and never really recovered despite some stoic late order batting by Warwick Symcox (39) and Ronit Mahajan (31) which saw the sea-siders battled to 145. Josh Mann (3/27) and Grant McCartin 3/13) were the best with the ball for Parramatta.
In reply, Manly lost early wickets to be 4/42, until Matthew Windred (67no) and Daniel Chatman (38no) joined forces to see Parramatta home. Dan Chatman was named Player of the Final.
